About

I'm Rob Nealan, and I'm a hybrid designer+engineer living in the mountains of Telluride, Colorado.

I grew up in the sleepy Bay Area suburb of Benicia, California, and stumbled into UI design and software engineering by way of building a high school rollercoaster fan-site with friends, followed later by freelancing my way through architecture school at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

As of March 2026 I'm working with Closin.ai building the sales forecasting platform for the AI-era. When I'm not building for the web I own and manage the Telluride Wheelhouse, a small community art and ceramics studio on the outskirts of Telluride. In the past I've worked and consulted for incredible companies like Rocket, Kismet Health, Fellow Coffee, Razer, and so many more.

This blog was designed+built by myself using Ghost with a dash of SCSS, Handlebars, Typekit, and a healthy amount of neglect over the past several years (did I really stop posting in 2018?).
